BookStop Project

“One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world.”

Children of Mehr Foundation (CMF) aims to promote a culture of reading by establishing libraries for children and adolescents in low-income areas, particularly in villages. The BookStop project aims to provide all children with access to quality education and promote a culture of reading, while emphasising indigenous culture and literature. To achieve these goals, the libraries offer various programs, including storytelling, book reading circles, performances, and local games. The library is accessible to all children, including those with physical disabilities, regardless of their educational background or abilities.

Education, Help

Our ethos is simple yet powerful: Educate a child, enrich a community. To this end, we’ve designed inclusive programs catering to children and adolescents of all literacy levels and abilities, ensuring that even those with physical impairments find a welcoming space. Our centers come alive with storytelling sessions, book circles, performances, and computer training, all while celebrating local games and culture.

We believe that education is a collaborative effort. Thus, Project BookStop not only serves the young minds but also empowers local women through job opportunities as educators and program facilitators. This symbiotic approach helps ignite a cultural shift, where education and reading become a family affair, strengthening the intellectual fabric of the entire community.

Our vision extends beyond the immediate horizon. By creating a scalable model of education and community involvement, we aim to replicate our success throughout Iran, encouraging other institutions to adopt this transformative initiative. Join us in turning the page to a brighter future where every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to the story of their community.
